Online Courses

Our online courses utilize the same approach and curriculum as our in-class courses which focus on the Communicative Approach to language teaching. One of the main components to the Communicative Approach to language teaching emphasizes authentic and meaningful interaction between speakers, just how native speakers use it. To achieve this we utilize a combination of conversation and grammar (when needed) during lessons. Classes are held 100% online and are taught by our in-house instructors who hold university degrees and have over 50 years of combined teaching experience to ensure professional and engaging online language classes.

How does it work?

The first step is to submit a reservation form. Upon submission of the reservation form, you’ll be directed to our online class portal by Acuity (scheduling software), where you can purchase your class pack of choice, and then schedule your classes. You’ll receive a certificate code in your order receipt that you will use when scheduling classes. We recommend creating an account with Acuity so you can view upcoming classes, re-schedule, cancel and more. During the payment and scheduling process you will see an option to create an account.

Once you have selected your days/times, you will receive an automated email that will include the time and a link to join the class via Zoom (online meeting platform). If you don’t see an email, be sure to check your bulk/spam mail. Simply click on the link at or near the designated time and wait for your instructor.

Once your classes are paid for and scheduled, the last step is to take the Placement Test (if you have previous experience with Spanish study), so that we know your level of study before your first lesson and can teach accordingly.

Online classes are hosted using Zoom. Zoom is an app/program that can be used on your phone, Laptop or Desktop. It is not required to have an account with Zoom but we do recommend you at least download the app You can download zoom ahead of your class time here.

Just like our in-class courses, classes will be conducted in Spanish and when appropriate incorporate worksheets and materials that we use in-class as well.
